Prayers for Curt Skelton (aka the sign man) Curt is currently hospitalized dealing with sudden severe heart issues and we pray that he is given the doctors with the skills and knowledge to be able to facilatate for him to pull through this and make a full recovery For those of you that don’t know Curt he has been in Mojave since the early 70s Along with being a long time contractor in Mojave he’s a devout Christian that has always given everything he’s got spiritually, ...mentally, and financially to those who don’t have much or anything at all especially the homeless souls that wander around and he is the one that makes all those wooden signs you see around town and other places with scriptures engraved in wood He has been like an older brother mentor figure to me with words of wisdom, patience, encouragement, and most important of all to show love to all Prayers and love for Curt

Please don't message me expecting a response for information because I cant and I am only doing this post to get the word out and help these good hard-working people sell their stuff. Today was a huge success on selling stuff and a huge thank you to everyone that helped and shared this and we are trying to keep it going starting next week Monday through Saturday 9-4 so there is still lots of items left which pictures in this album re...flect the current availability of some of the bigger items left and also there's a huge amount of smaller items left un-pictured. It pains me to do this announcement, but I just found out today that after 40 years of being in business in the same Mojave Airport location Randall Kelley's auto repair is closing. Randall became very sick 3-4 months ago (not COVID!!) and was not able to keep up fully on his lease payment at the Mojave Air and Spaceport which has led to him losing his lease. Randall tried in vain to sell the shop as a whole for a while to no avail and now that he has been served an eviction from his same 40-year location and he has only 10 days left to sell or move to storage as much stuff as possible before the airport takes control of the building and everything in it.. As you can see in photos that's going to be very difficult for a sickly 72-year-old man to get done. His long time staff who deserve praise is helping him as much as possible to get this done but I feel the community also should step up as much as possible, So I am pleading with you all to help share this and spread the word to anyone that is in this business type or is a hoppiest or just a shade tree mechanic that would be interested in buying tools and equipment for auto repairs of all types to come to Randall Kelley's starting again this coming week Monday through Saturday 9-4. So please help and show your support any way possible, maybe even buy a small tool and give it as a gift just to show your support to this family that has dedicated their lives to serving residents of Mojave. FYI Mojave, we are taking the day off for Independence Day!!! So we will be closed tomorrow Saturday, July 4th, and will be back to our normal schedule on Monday, July 6th. We wish to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July and hope that you take a moment to reflect on what this day stands for.... God Bless and Be Safe.

FYI with a heavy heart - we lost another lifelong Mojave'ite resident and avid Stoken shop supporter. Fred Hudson born June 7th,1942 passed away much too soon yesterday June18th 2020 in Lancaster Ca. from complications associated with Alzheimer's. Fred befriended us and frequented the shop since the day we opened Jan. 3rd 2009 and over the years shared his love of cars and many a story of the town from bygone days with anyone that would show interest in our little town of... Mojave . We send our condolences to his family for their loss and wish God’s speed to Fred as he cruises in the afterlife. Also, we want to encourage those that can, to give to organizations that work on combating and helping families affected by this terrible disease of Alzheimer’s which has been on a huge rise with no known cure or methods to slow it down. Thank You!

Wanted to share how great this kindergarten teacher took her day off to show her students the support and Care. she has for each and everyone of them. Look how happy everyone of them is with their certificates!!!!! Way to go Katherine Stokes!!! You are truly a blessing . Keep up the good work !! Need more teachers that care like u do !!
