Effective Monday, April 20, 2020, we will return to normal business hours: Monday through Saturday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.. We will continue to require customers to wear a facemask, scarf, or bandana before entering the store and to maintain social distance. We will continue to practice heightened levels of sanitizing in the store to protect our employees and customers. Wishing all of you to stay well!

Starting today, we are selling "COVID-19" cookies in a fundraising effort to support the City of Long Beach's Coronavirus Relief Fund. The cookies are a butter cookie, topped with lemon-flavored icing with a message to support Long Beach. The cookies are $4.95 each and for each cookie we sell, we will donate $2.50 to the Coronavirus Relief Fund (@LBCommunityFdn). Please join us in supporting our great city as we all struggle with this new normal. Wishing all of you good health and we will all get through this together

In order to address the Corona Virus issue and in conjunction with City of Long Beach and State of California mandates, we are making the following changes effective immediately: 1) We will be reducing our business hours. Effective immediately our operating hours are 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. 2) All purchases will be to-go. No on-site food consumption will be allowed. 3) When waiting for your order to be ready, please wait... outside. Last week we implemented several safeguards against the Corona virus including: 1) Although no employees are exhibiting illness at this time, any employee exhibiting fever or illness will be sent home immediately 2) We are encouraging frequent handwashing for a full 20 seconds with soap and hot water for all employees 3) We are leaving the front door open to minimize touching the door when entering or leaving the store 4) All staff wear gloves at all times 5) Service staff are double-gloving or using tongs when handling food products 6) Front doors and restroom doors and trash can flaps are being sanitized regularly 7) Only disposable plates, cups, and utensils are being served to customers 8) As soon as it becomes available, we will provide sanitizer to all employees and customers If we all do our part, we can minimize the spread of this scary virus. Please stay home as much as possible, wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water, and above all, be safe!

Here's an update on special holiday hours: We will be open until 4 p.m. Sunday, December 22; open regular hours (til 6 p.m.) December 23, open 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 24, and CLOSED on Christmas Day. We will resume regular hours on December 26. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

Hard to believe the holidays are already here again! We will be open Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to noon. Orders for French bread must be placed no later than Wednesday at 3 p.m. (earlier for other items). Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of your holiday! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to all of you!!

School is back in session and sadly that means summer is over! Get over the hump by joining us for lunch today. Our specials are a Reuben sandwich (corned beef, thousand island dressing, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on rye bread) served with choice of fries, green salad or fruit salad. $8.75 We also have a grilled chicken breast served with choice of pesto pasta, pasta with marinara sauce, or pasta with Alfredo sauce $9.95. And of course there are plenty of other options. See you soon!

We also have our Philly cheesesteak: thinly sliced roast beef with grilled onions and bell peppers topped with cheese sauce. The Philly cheesesteak is served on our French roll with a side of fries, green salad, or fruit salad $8.95.

Try our delicious meatloaf (made with chicken) with just a touch of chipotle for lunch today. Served with choice of mashed potatoes & gravy or our special recipe grown-up mac & cheese $8.95

Today's specials are: Cobb Salad: Romaine lettuce topped with chicken, bacon, ham, hard boiled egg, tomato, onion, and blue cheese with blue cheese dressing $9.95 Torta Cubana: Grilled pork loin, ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and yellow mustard on our famous French roll. Served with choice of fries, green salad, or fruit salad $8.95... Come join us for lunch and save a little room for a treat afterward!

Today's specials are our French Dip Sandwich (thinly sliced roast beef with melted Swiss cheese and au jus, served with fries: $8.95) and Pasta Diablo (bowtie pasta topped with a spicy cream sauce and grilled chicken breast: $9.95). And don't forget to save room for dessert!

Celebrate the end of the work week with lunch at Babette's! Today's specials are: lemon/pepper chicken breast served with grown-up mac & cheese ($9.95) and a salmon burger topped with house-made mango salsa served with fries ($8.75).

We've got some great lunch specials for this gloomy Wednesday: Eggs scrambled with chorizo, served with bread or tortillas. Philly cheesesteak with grilled bell peppers and onions and a yummy cheese sauce served with fries. Or if you're feeling healthy: spinach salad with grilled chicken breast, mango, strawberries, toasted almonds, and a raspberry walnut vinaigrette. All are $8.95. Come hungry!

We will be open on Monday, December 31 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please place your orders in advance. Our kitchen and sandwich table will be open so you can get your favorite sandwich, burger, or entree in before the new year!
