Long, but worth the read. Yesterday I was SO inspired by humanity with 3 specific things. While walking my dog, a guy passing by asked directly, how are you doing during quarantine? and gave me a ... it was so genuine and uplifting that it made me smile so big! The second was a beautiful tangelo tree in my neighborhood and the sign beneath it that said, please help yourself! I’m tangy not sweet and I’m very good in a drink ;). How cute is that? I can just picture the ra...d person that must live in that house. And the third beautiful moment was my client, posting a photo of her hubby touching up her roots with the color kit I dropped off for her. She was so happy it made my day. Plus- it was sweet to see her hubby patiently applying her color for her wearing pink gloves. Sure, ugliness is within each of us.. but I have seen so much beauty come from this strange time, that today I am grateful and breathing that in deep!! I have become even more grateful for slowness, more FaceTimes with friends that live out of state/ country, more time with my family, and rest for my body. Too beautiful and wise not to repost. The only thing we can control is our attitude and how we choose to react to the things that happen to us. I know MANY people are going to be affected far worse than you or I could imagine. I’m trying my best to keep my heart open to seeing more than just my own anxieties about this new chapter we’re in. Here’s a tip when applying a mask- try only applying with one finger as apposed to all four. Feels weird at first, but saves the good stuff for your face and not your hands . Got this simple but awesome tip from my friend @hilary_jane and it’s a no-brainer

ALL of these products (and many professional grade ones) have ingredients in them - legally allowed here in the U.S.- that are PROVEN to cause reproductive harm, hormonal disruption and/or cancer. There is virtually NO regulation for the safety of personal care products here in America- and I’m now a voice in the #cleanbeautyrevolution.
